Helmet with tilting visor

A type of light European helmet used in the 13th - 15th centuries. The open style of the helmet was given the Czech name "šlap". In the 14th century there arrived a tilting visor, always being made from one piece attached with vervelles on the sides. We produce this type with many variations for its significant and dominant appearance. The whole helmet was used to be put over a camail (chain mail coif).
