Handmade paper replica of a medieval helmet. Conical nasal helmet from the 11th-12th century.
It stems from leather helmets covered with metal strips and a rim reinforcing the edge of the helmet. Four segments were usually covered with a metal strip and inter-riveted. The core of the nose was protected by a distinct nasal protecting piece being an immediate component of the helmet's structure and riveted to it individually. Later, these helmets were forged from one piece.
The replica we produce is made from solid cardboard with suggestive ironwork and a surface finish imitating metal.
